Start your morning waking up in our European room among the Roe deer and pheasant trophies or retire in the evening after a chef-created rustic Texas dinner to your own private deer camp suite to dream about the incredible Vara whitetail trophies you will encounter the next day.

Our brand-new 5,000 square foot lodge features 4 private en-suite bedrooms and 1 bunk room en-suite to accommodate groups of 8 people. Awaken in the morning in your luxury accommodations to a light breakfast before the early-morning whitetail hunt and be treated to a full breakfast after the hunt while our staff takes complete care of your trophy. After a fulfilling lunch, head out in the afternoon in pursuit of that once-in-a-lifetime trophy. Return in the evening to a roaring fire in the great room, grab a signature Vara cocktail and enjoy various wild game appetizers until being served an incredible chef-prepared dinner. After dinner, enjoy the cigar and whiskey selections while joining others around the fire pit reminiscing of past hunts or retire to your private suite in the evening to do it all over again the next day.

Safari Room

No need to cross the Atlantic, we’re bringing Africa right to you. Themed with skull mounts from incredible trophy species, a Zebra rug, and decor inspired by the safari trips we’ve experienced ourselves, you’ll feel a thousand miles away as you rest up at the Vara Lodge.

Deer Camp Room

Relive your childhood memories in our Deer Camp suite. Just like the old days with shoulder mounts covering the whole wall & bunk beds to fit more than was usually comfortable — we designed this room to bring back all of your favorite memories from a weekend deer camp with a modern twist to ensure you sleep with ease over the course of your stay.

Bayou Room

Inspired by the Buffalo Bayou just down the road in Houston, you’ll keep company with texas alligators, migrating wood ducks, & other local wildlife. Don’t worry, this swamp is comfortable & dry for you to unwind after a days worth of hunting and fishing.
